February - March 2012: Edalab is going to partecipate to Embedded World 2012. Welcome to our stand 427 in hall 5 from 28/2 to 1/3 in Nuremberg, Germany.

October 2011: the european project SMAC starts and EDALab is one of the partners. The kick-off meeting is scheduled in Catania (IT) the 18th of October.

The Domotics to service of social

EDALab expresses its ability to design and integrate technologies to achieve Safe Home: a concentrated of useful solutions to simplify domestic live of those who have various difficulties related at the age or at more or less temporary physical discomfort. Safe Home for Edalab and its partners is a technology system which integrates various component, like:

  • Touch screen panel for a more simple and intuitive interaction and control.
  • Control software.
  • Software and telecamera for videoconferencing.
  • Gas and flooding sensors.
  • Interface device for apparatuses of different producer.
  • Teleassistance and telemedicine.
  • Domotic system for the removal of architectural barriers, such as electrical drives for the controls of domestic use, like frame and access ways.

Safe Home project was born with these assumptions: supply an excellent thick innovative endowment enhanced by the integration of a dedicated teleassistance service. The project has involved territorial entrepreneurial realities, like Tesan, ABS Computer, HiT and other, providing a service of quality and equipment unprecedented. Between the partners there is also the town hall of Castelnuovo del Garda (VR), which has provided the first apartment for realize a prototype of accomodation to integrate Safe Home technologies.

Safe Home domotic system requires a touch panel with Windows 7 operating system and dedicated software for the communication and control of domotic apparatuses.

The interface is organized into pages and it is optimized for the interaction by the touch of fingers.

Safe Home service provides the installation of technological apparatuses customized adequately to the particular contexts for which they are required, both in terms of user interface than of sensors and drives. Remote assistance services and helpline or other services which require the involvement of dedicated staff can be also customized by a series of parameters so as to satisfy as much as possible final users of the structure.
